The heart of Cantina La Vecchia Caserma's wine tourism activity is located in the historic Royal Carabinieri barracks in Sedini, used from 1853 until 1952. Here, immersed in an atmosphere that exudes history and tradition, visitors can enjoy tastings of the winery's finest wines, allowing themselves to be transported by unique flavors and atmospheres typical of this part of Sardinia.

Alongside the tasting, in the same premises, visitors can explore the old prison of the barracks, a tangible testimony of the past that adds a touch of mystery and charm to the experience, making it truly unique.

Founded in 2017 in collaboration with LAORE Sardegna, Cantina La Vecchia Caserma is committed to safeguarding the native grape varieties of Sardinia. In addition to the classic Vermentino and Cannonau, unique varieties have been planted, such as Moscato (Moscatello), Cannonau Bianco, Cannonau Dorato, Bavale Mannu (Cagnulari), Caricagiola, Remungiau di Serri, Nieddu Polchinu, Retagliadu, Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, Cannonau di Sardegna DOC.

The future goal of the winery is to vinify each clone in purity, creating small niche productions that best express the uniqueness of each grape variety. Each bottle is a journey through the authentic flavors of Sardinia, an exclusive and sought-after product deeply connected to the history of the territory.
