The day begins with a visit to the Basilica of the Holy Trinity of Saccargia, a masterpiece of 12th-century Tuscan Romanesque architecture. Famous for its striking black-and-white stone façade and its beautifully preserved interior frescoes.

Next, we visit the Liliana Cano Museum, inaugurated in 2023, which houses a permanent collection of approximately 90 works by the Sardinian artist, mainly with religious themes. The museum also serves as an exhibition space for contemporary artists.

After lunch, we visit the Ethnographic Museum, located in the Baronial Palace of Ossi. The museum offers an insightful look into Sardinia’s rural life in the past century, featuring reconstructions of domestic settings and traditional tools used in farming and craftsmanship.

The day concludes with a visit to the Church of Santa Maria in Tergu, a magnificent 12th-century Romanesque church, historically linked to the Benedictine monks and the medieval Giudicato of Torres.

The second day begins with a visit to the Cathedral of Sant’Antonio Abate, located in the historic center of Castelsardo. This medieval cathedral offers breathtaking sea views and houses the crypts, part of the Ampuriense Museum, which narrates the city’s religious history.

Next, we visit the Museum of Witchcraft and the Holy Inquisition, located in the Ancient Episcopal Palace. The museum explores the persecution of witches and the Inquisition, displaying historical documents and artifacts that reveal this dark chapter of Castelsardo’s past.

After lunch, we visit La Rocca of Sedini, an impressive Domus de Janas, the largest in Sardinia, carved into a massive rock in the center of the village. It houses a museum of local traditions, showcasing the rural and artisanal life of the past.

The day continues with a visit to the permanent exhibition Sedini, Witches, Amulets, and Magical Rituals, set up in the historic center of Sedini. This exhibition explores traditions related to superstition, faith, and magical rituals through a carefully curated display by the SETIN Cooperative, which has been promoting local historical and cultural heritage for over thirty years.

The third day begins with a visit to the Church of San Pietro delle Immagini, a Romanesque masterpiece surrounded by nature, built between 1080 and 1220. Inside, visitors can admire the Wooden Deposition Group, one of the most important medieval artworks on the island.

The itinerary continues with a visit to the Archaeological and Paleobotanical Museum of Perfugas (MAP), which narrates the millennia-old history of the Anglona region. The exhibition covers a vast time span, from the Paleolithic to the Middle Ages. Among the most significant finds are fossils from the Miocene petrified forest, a bronze dagger, a Neolithic figurine of the Mother Goddess with Child, and a Nuragic zoomorphic statue.

After lunch, we visit the Sacred Well of Predio Canopoli, a Nuragic archaeological site dating back to the Late Bronze Age. Built with finely carved white limestone blocks, it is one of the most unique places of worship of the Nuragic civilization in Sardinia.

The day concludes with a visit to the majestic Retablo of San Giorgio, one of the largest altarpieces in Sardinia. Measuring 8.60 meters high and 6.40 meters wide, it consists of 52 painted panels in the Gothic-Aragonese style, with intricately carved wooden frames covered in gold leaf. It is housed in the chapel museum of the parish church of Perfugas.
