Sport & Environment

Laerru

Sport & Environment
The Pro Loco Rigorona Laerru organizes an event dedicated to active tourism called “Sport & Environment”, held in the Conca ’e Caddu area.
The event takes place over two days in October and aims to raise awareness about the respect and protection of environmental heritage, while also showcasing the extraordinary natural beauty of the territory.
Among the proposed experiences are: guided trekking along two different routes with varying levels of difficulty, within the hiking circuit known as “Corona Maiore and Rocca Manna”; free climbing activities; a zip-line on a cable approximately 60 meters long connecting the two opposite rocky sides of the valley; and slacklining on an aerial line, where participants can perform high-altitude acrobatics.
For beginners, there is also the opportunity to approach this discipline on a specially installed practice line. Additionally, rope descent (abseiling) can be practiced at equipped points along the route.
Visitors can also explore the famous Su Coloru caves, and during certain periods, it is possible to observe the bat colonies that inhabit the cave.
A true immersion in the most unspoiled and wild nature, in the heart of Anglona.

Festival of Emigrants

Laerru

Festival of Emigrants
The Emigrants’ Festival aims to pay tribute to all those who, at least once a year—especially during the summer—return to the village of Laerru, where they spent their childhood.
Organized by Pro Loco Rigorona Laerru, the festival brings the village to life, involving numerous Sardinian folk dance groups who perform in the main square. A vibrant celebration of traditional costumes, colors, scents, and folklore that should not be missed.
For this convivial occasion, a food stand is set up where visitors can taste local products, simple yet flavorful traditional dishes, and homemade desserts prepared by skilled hands. A return to the simplicity of village life, deeply rooted in tradition and the values of the local community.

Feast of Saint Sebastian

Bulzi

Feast of Saint Sebastian
The Feast of Saint Sebastian the Martyr is held every year on January 20 and is a deeply felt event for the local community. Saint Sebastian, the patron saint, is honored with religious rites and traditional celebrations.
The Feast of Saint Sebastian begins with the celebration of Holy Mass in the parish church dedicated to San Sebastiano, where the service is conducted almost entirely in Sardinian, offering a rare and precious example of liturgy in the local language.
Faithful devotees travel from neighboring towns to take part in the event. After the religious ceremony, a procession winds through the streets of the village, during which the statue of the saint is carried on the shoulders of devoted worshippers, accompanied by chants and prayers.
The celebration is also marked by moments of togetherness and community spirit. The town's streets come to life with vibrant market stalls, offering local delicacies and traditional sweets.
It is common for families to gather for festive lunches and dinners, sharing typical Sardinian dishes. A distinctive highlight of the festival is the presence of folk groups and "cantadores", who entertain the crowd with traditional Sardinian music performances.
The Feast of Saint Sebastian is an opportunity to rediscover and honor local traditions, keeping the community’s cultural and religious heritage alive.
